8th Raid Trans Mauritania

For the 8th edition of the Raid TransMauritania, there will be two consecutive routes with different courses: from Saturday, February 20 to Saturday, February 27, 2027, then from Saturday, February 27 to Saturday, March 6, 2027. It will be possible to take part in both weeks back to back.

Week 1 : from 20 to 27 February 2027  |  Week 2 : from 27 February to 6 March 2027

Week 1 – from Saturday 20 to Saturday 27 February 2027

  • Saturday 20 February
    • 5.00am : Reception at Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport, Terminal 3 – Luggage check-in
    • 11.20am : Arrival in Atar (Visa) – Transfer by 4WD to the Azalaye Inn (Atar) – Lunch
    • 2.00pm : Registration formalities, assembly and testing of the Fatbikes in Atar
    • 4.00pm : Walk around Atar
    • 6.00pm : General briefing
    • Meal and overnight stay at the inn
  • Sunday 21 February – Stage 1 – The discovery loop
    • 50 km – 20% sand – tracks, wadi and stones
    • 3.00pm : 4WD transfer to the starting point
    • First sunset in the dunes
    • Meal and night in the desert
  • Monday 22 February – Stage 2 – The Dune
    • 43 km – 90% sand, 40% dunes
    • On arrival, cold meal
    • Afternoon free : walk around the camp and climb up the big dune
    • Meal and night in the desert
  • Tuesday 23 February – Stage 3 – The Crossing
    • 41 km – 95% sand, 70% dunes !!
    • On arrival, cold meal
    • Afternoon free : walk around the camp and climb up the mountain for the more adventurous
    • Meal and night in the desert
  • Wednesday 24 February – Stage 4 – From one wadi to another
    • 44 km – 80% sand, 50% dunes
    • On arrival, cold meal
    • Afternoon free : walk in the wadi and the gardens
    • Meal and night in the desert
  • Thursday 25 February – Stage 5 – From one valley to another
    • 56 km – 20% sand, 50% tracks and 30% reg
    • On arrival, cold meal
    • Afternoon free : walk around the camp
    • Meal and night in the desert
  • Friday 26 February – Stage 6 – A loop through the valley
    • 40 km – 80% sand and 20% dunes
    • On arrival, meal at the inn in Atar
    • Late afternoon free : Visit Atar with its traditional market after preparing your luggage
    • 7.00pm : Meal and overnight stay at the inn
  • Saturday 27 February
    • Breakfast
    • 9.00am : Transfer to the airport and luggage check-in
    • Return to Paris in the afternoon around 6.00pm

Week 2 – from Saturday 27 February to Saturday 6 March 2027

  • Saturday 27 February
    • 5.00am : Reception at Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport, Terminal 3 – Luggage check-in

    • 47 km – 80% sand – a few small dunes
    • On arrival, cold meal
    • Afternoon free : walk around the camp and through the old town
    • Meal and night in the desert
  • Monday 1 March – Stage 2 – The sandy plain
    • 53 km – 90% sand, 10% dunes
    • On arrival, cold meal
    • Afternoon free : walk around the camp and through the oasis
    • Meal and night in the desert
  • Tuesday 2 March – Stage 3 – The sandy mounts
    • 57 km – 95% sand, 70% dunes !!
    • On arrival, cold meal
    • Afternoon free : walk around the camp
    • Meal and night in the desert
  • Wednesday 3 March – Stage 4 – From the wadi to the dunes
    • 42 km – 100% sand, 20% dunes
    • On arrival, cold meal
    • Afternoon free : walk through the old town
    • Meal and night in the desert
  • Thursday 4 March – Stage 5 – From one valley to another
    • 47 km – 100% sand, 40% dunes
    • On arrival, cold meal
    • Afternoon free : walk around the camp and climb up the Mount for the more adventurous
    • Meal and night in the desert
  • Friday 5 March – Stage 6 – Downhill !!
    • 55 km – 80% tracks
    • On arrival, meal at the inn in Atar
    • Late afternoon free : Visit Atar with its traditional market after preparing your luggage
    • 7.00pm : Meal and overnight stay at the inn
  • Saturday 6 March
    • Breakfast
    • 9.00am : Transfer to the airport and luggage check-in
    • Return to Paris in the afternoon around 6.00pm
